Today we did Route 66 from Williams to Seligman, AZ (and backtracked to Flagstaff for a raincoat).
We started our day with coffee from Pine Country Restaurant in Williams.
My raincoat has been loosing its waterproof layer and after yesterday, it was clear I really needed to replace it. This morning we ended up with extra time because I had allowed time to drive up to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center for the America 250 stamp and we managed to get that using the shuttle bus while up there yesterday. Thus, we backtracked to Flagstaff and went to Babbitt's Backcountry Outfitters after we got our coffee.
We then headed back to Williams to visit the Poozeum.
Next we continued on Route 66 to Ash Fork, where we first stopped at a Historical Marker that gave some history of the railroad and Harvey house.
We then visited the Ash Fork Route 66 Museum.

From Ash Fork, we got on I-40 for a few miles before getting off and starting the longest remaining continuous stretch of Route 66, which has a Yavapi County Route 66 Centennial Sign at the beginning.
As we entered Seligman, we took photos at the Welcome to Seligman, Arizona Birthplace of Historic Route 66 Sign.
We then parked and walked around Seligman. At Rt 66 Hippie Cricket, I got a New York 1948 license plate for my 1940s collection.

One of our stops on our walk was at the Route 66 Motoporium, where we checked out their vintage cars and motorcycles.
We also visited Angel & Vilma's Route 66 Gift Shop, where I got New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania 1940s license plates for my collection.
The gift shop also includes Angel's Barber Shop Museum.
Our last stop was for a shake and malt at Delgadillo’s Snow Cap.
Next we drove to the other side of town and took a photo with the Seligman Route 66 Shield and Welcome to Radiator Springs Also Known As Seligman, AZ sign.

We then checked in to our tipi at KOA Seligman.
At the KOA, we walked the nature trail, which ended up having a Route 66 theme with markers for the main cities in Arizona.
For dinner, we ate at the Roadkill Cafe in Seligman.
