Our Koffee Trail: Joffrey’s Holiday Coffee Challenge for WDW Annual Passholders

Date: December 9-12, 2025

Location: Joffrey's Holiday Coffee Challenge, Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL

Rating: ❤️ (Love)

For the 2025 Holiday season at Walt Disney World, Joffrey's has a Holiday Coffee Challenge for Annual Passholders. Mom, Mik, and I decided to try them all.

Disney's Animal Kingdom - Cocoa & Spice

We started with the Cocoa & Spice at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This one isn't actually a coffee, but rather hot cocoa with pumpkin pie syrup. This ended up being Mik's favorite.

EPCOT - Yuletide Log Mocha

On our second park day, we started at EPCOT and got Yuletide Log Mochas (latte with dark chocolate sauce and marshmallow syrup) while we were eating our way through EPCOT and doing the Holiday Cookie Stroll.

Hollywood Studios - Cookie Butter Gingerbread Latte

Also on our second park day, we park hopped over to Hollywood Studios to ride Toy Story Mania and try the Cookie Butter Gingerbread Latte (latte with cookie butter syrup, cinnamon syrup, and spiced brown sugar syrup).

Magic Kingdom - Cheerful Elf Latte

We started our third park day at Magic Kingdom. While waiting for our Jingle Cruise return time, we got Cheerful Elf Lattes (latte with peppermint and vanilla syrup).

Disney's Springs - Santa's Thumbprint Cookie Latte

After Magic Kingdom, we headed over to Disney Springs to do the Christmas Tree Stroll and finish Joffrey's Holiday Coffee Challenge with Santa Thumbprint Cookie Lattes, which was my favorite. For completing the challenge, we got luggage tags.

Our Koffee Trail: Streetcar Espresso

Date: December 8, 2025

Location: Streetcar Espresso, Ashburn, GA

Rating: ❤️ (Love)

Yesterday, I had planned a coffeeshop stop in Chattanooga, but Dad wasted our coffee stop time on getting a car wash. This morning we had plenty of time to waste on our way down to Florida, so even though we purposely got a slow start we still were able to do a coffee stop. I found Streetcar Espresso as a drive thru near I-75.

Right away we enjoyed Streetcar Espresso just for its Christmas decor.

We also liked their festive sleeves. Mom got a Peppermint Mocha. I got a Caramel Brรปlรฉe Latte. Dad got a Latte. Mik got Apple Cider.

Our Koffee Trail: Dollop Coffee Co.

Date: December 3, 2025

Location: Dollop Coffee Co. (Streeterville), Chicago, IL

Rating: ๐Ÿ‘ (Like)

Dad and I noticed Dollop Coffee when we went grocery shopping yesterday and decided to try it this morning.

I got their Streeterville location exclusive seasonal Cinnamon Bun Mocha. We got Mik the same as a hot chocolate. For Mom, we got the Candy Cane Lane Mocha. Dad ordered a Honey Cinnamon Latte, but it did not end up getting added to the order and by the time we had the other drinks and realized there was too much of a line with only one barista to be worth ordering as the other drinks would have been cold by the time we got his.

    Our Koffee Trail: Cupitol

    Date: December 2, 2025

    Location: Cuptiol, Chicago, IL

    Rating: ๐Ÿ‘ (Like)

Mom actually has a fancy Kuerig that can do lattes in Chicago, so we do not usually get coffee when here, but this morning we decided to treat ourselves at nearby Cupitol.

I got a Nutella Latte. Dad got a Inca Latte. For Mom, we got the seasonal Peppermint Latte. For Mik, we got the Mint White Hot Chocolate.

So we didn't get our drinks mixed up in the condo (i.e. Mom didn't keep asking which is hers...), Dad put our names on our cups, but he misspelled Dreadfully Annoying Dad.

Our Koffee Trail: Tatte Bakery & Cafe

      Date: November 29, 2025

Location: Tatte Bakery & Cafe, Arlington, VA

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

We first attempted to go to another coffeeshop, but maps seemed to be directing us into the Crystal City underground and the way it wanted us to go was not open. We did eventually find where we wanted to go, which was not actually in the underground, nor was it open at 7am as maps indicated. As it wasn't open for another 20 minutes we headed back towards the hotel and ended up at the other coffeeshop I had considered for this morning.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe was not my first choice because is a chain with a decent amount of locations, but it seems to only be in a few states.

I enjoyed the Pumpkin Tahini Latte. We got Mom the same. Dad had a Pistachio Latte and we got Mik a mocha.

We had planned to get coffee in Rustic Roast as we headed to DC, but it was closed for Black Friday. Thus, we instead went to the nearby C3 Coffee Co.

I really enjoy their seasonal Butter Pecan Latte. Mik had hot chocolate.

Mom had a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte and Dad had a Flat White.

Our Koffee Trail: Rustic Roast - Seasonal Fall Drinks 2025

      Date: October 8, 2025

      Location: Rustic Roast (Conway, SC)

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

This morning Dad, Mik, and I went to Rustic Roast to use my $5 birthday reward. It was the last of three birthday coffee rewards I had to use this month. The other two I used were at Starbucks (Pecan Oatmilk Latte) and Grand Strand Coffee (Roasted Candied Pecan Latte). Dad said the $10 one at The Coffee House on Cherry Street was tempting to make a trip to Tulsa for, though.

We all enjoyed seasonal fall drinks at Rustic Roast. Dad had a Featured Drip, which was Summer Roaster's Sweater Weather (light roast with flavor notes of red apple, maple syrup, and crisp). Despite it being a light roast, he liked it. Mik had a French Toast Coldbrew (French Toast Coldbrew with cinnamon maple coldfoam). I had a Stick Season Latte (maple syrup, brown sugar, and roasted hazelnuts).

Our Koffee Trail: Tidal Creek Brewhouse (and Coffeehouse)

Date of Visit: August 3, 2025

Location: Tidal Creek Coffeehouse, Myrtle Beach, SC

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

After Mass, Mik wanted to get coffee so Dad suggested Tidal Creek, their favorite Myrtle Beach brewery. It was their first time going there for coffee. Dad says he liked their coffee even better than their beer.

Dad really enjoyed the Malt-chiato, a macchiato infused with malt extract. A coffee drink only a brewery could pull off.

Mik really enjoyed the French toast taco, a tortilla prepared in French toast batter and filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, salsa, and maple syrup. He accompanied it with a coconut mocha latte.

They brought me home a decaf lavender oat milk latte and a bag of fresh ground decaf Guatemalan coffee. They said coming here on Sundays after Mass could become a habit.

Ranger Dan: 87.3 Saguaro National Park - Rincon Mountain District

Date Of Visit: May 29, 2025

As we arrived in Tucson, we decided to visit the Rincon Mountain district of Saguaro National Park as we did not want to end up at the hotel too early to get a room. We ended up visiting the Visitor Center and driving the loop. There is an accessible trail that we might have done if we had not discovered Mik's wheelchair had two flat tires when we got there because Dad had decided to go off roading for some photos at the last stop at a rest area and the wheels got filled with burrs (by the way, wheelchair repair places are useless if you want a fix in less than a month, but thankfully it only took two bike shops next door to each other to find the right size tubes and get his wheels fixed and we got a patch kit that Dad had to use a few days later due to a missed burr on one tire).

Out Koffee Trail: Fire Grounds Coffee Station 1

      Date: June 6, 2025

Location: Fire Grounds Coffee Station 1, Canton, TX

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

We got a late start staying on south side of Dallas this morning due to needing an oil change. We almost skipped doing a coffee shop and Dad even considered just going to HeBrews in Louisiana for lunch, but since we did get a late start we would likely hit that too late in the afternoon for even a late lunch. I ended up finding Fire Grounds Coffee Station 1 located near the I-20.

I got Smoke Showing (espresso, white chocolate, toasted marshmallow) and Mik got the same iced. Mom got an Iced Vanilla Latte.

      Dad got Dark Roast Coffee.

Our Koffee Trail: The Coffee Box - Downtown El Paso

      Date: June 5, 2025

Location: The Coffee Box - Downtown, El Paso, TX

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

We stopped at The Coffee Box as we got on the road in El Paso this morning. The Coffee Box is in a repurposed shipping container in the corner of a parking lot in downtown conveniently only a few blocks off I-10.

The menu had a lot of variety, so it took us awhile to decide what to order. Mik actually texted me when we were almost done saying he hated the coffeeshop because it was taking so long, but really it was mostly us trying to decide what to order and they were pretty quick, especially considering there was a steady steam of people walking up to order and there was only two people working.

I got s Horchata Oat Mil Latte and Mik got a Cocorchata (Coconut Horchata).

Dad got a Taro Oat Milk Latte and Mom got a Mochasino (mocha with ice cream).

Our Koffee Trail: Lemon Grove Coffee

      Date: June 4, 2025

Location: Lemon Grove Coffee, Lemon Grove, CA

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

As we hit the road to head back east this morning, we took a slight detour to Lemon Grove as it was a non-Starbucks coffeeshop open at 6am.

Dad and I got lattes from their Spring Drinks menu. Dad got the Beltane Fire Latte (rose, honey, cinnamon, cayenne). I got the Wildflower Bloom Latte (lavender, rose, elderflower, honey). Mom got one of their specialty lattes, an Iced Hawaiian Creme Brulee Latte (caramel, white chocolate, macadamia nut).

Mik was already asleep, so we just got him banana bread. Dad also got a slice of zucchini bread.

      Rating: ❤️ (Love)

Mik's choice for today was the Pink Rose Cafe.

I got a Honey Rose Latte.

Mik got an Iced Honey Rose Latte and a sprinkle cookie.

Mom got an Iced Raspberry White Mocha and Dad got a Cortado Espresso.

Our Koffee Trail: Old West Java

      Date: June 2, 2025

Location: Old West Java, Yuma, AZ

      Rating: ๐Ÿ‘ (Like, no Decaf)

Since our hotel did not have breakfast, Dad and I went to Old West Java to get coffee before we made breakfast and packed up the room.

Dad got the Signature Latte (signature syrup that includes cinnamon and the rest is a secret). For Mom we got the Chocolate Abuelita Frappe. I got the Howdy Latte (caramel, white chocolate, and butter pecan syrup).

I also got banana bread and Mik a chocolate muffin. Mik liked the muffin, but wished we had gotten him banana bread because you do not see that as often as chocolate muffins.

We visited the Wetmore drive thru location of Roadrunner Coffee Co. for this morning's coffee.

      Dad got an oatmilk latte.

Mik and I both got an Iced Ragin Roadrunner (espresso, chocolate sauce, banana syrup). Mom got a Marana Mocha (dark chocolate and white chocolate sauce, creme de menthe syrup).
