Mini Golf Adventures: Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf - Winter Course

We have played the courses at Disney's Winter Summerland at least once before, but that was before we started tracking the mini golf courses we have played. Since it was the holiday season, it seemed a good time to do this trip. We started with the Winter Course, which has a variety of snow themed holes.

Two of the most interesting for the theme are the ski moguls and ski slalom holes. There are also some fun holes with things that happen such as the cooler opening when your ball goes under it and trying to get under Santa's feet that move slightly up and down in a chimney. The end of the computer is also fun with it giving you a message from Santa.

Mini Golf Adventures: Putting Edge Orlando

Location: Putting Edge, Orlando, FL

Dad and I enjoyed the glow decor of the Putting Edge mini golf. There were various themes to the different holes as well as some very interesting layout challenges such as a volcano lava flow of different paths to try to go up and down for the hole. Being indoors is also a nice thing for Orlando when even on our December/January trips there are often years that have warm/humid days and, of course, rainy days.

Mini Golf Adventures: Red Dragon Cove Adventure Golf - The Pirates Plank

Location: Red Dragon Cove Adventure Golf, Myrtle Beach, SC

Course: The Pirates Plank

After finishing the Marauder's Challenge course, we decided to also play their other course, Pirates Plank. I think this course was slightly more interesting, but overall they were both fun. The most unique hole was the one on the Junk Ship, which had you start facing away from the hole and there was a pipe to get it to go back behind you to the hole (or you could miss that and bounce it back towards the hole like happened for Dad).

Mini Golf Adventures: Red Dragon Cove Adventure Golf - Marauder's Challenge

Location: Red Dragon Cove Adventure Golf, Myrtle Beach, SC

Course: Marauder's Challenge

On our way to Hawaiian Village Golf the day before, I almost had Dad turn around when I noticed this new mini golf place, but it is one of the closest to us so decided it would be easy to do another day.

We really enjoyed this place. Part of it is just that it is new and the courses are not worn at all. However, it also has done the theming very well as even though it is basically yet another pirate themed course it is different in that it is also Asian. The Asian theming includes multi-lingual signage on the doors, the temple entry, and on the Marauder's Challenge course the theming includes a Buddha and dragon. We also enjoyed the variety on the course with there being hills, water obstacles, and terraced courses.
