30th Birthday Road Trip: Day 3 - 3. Vanderbilt Mansion NHS

Our first stop today was the Vanderbilt Mansion NHS. It is currently under renovation, which is supposed to be done, but isn't quite finished. Thus, the tour isn't quite what it normally would be with much of the furniture covered and part of the second floor off limits. However, it still was a worthwhile visit. Ranger Dan post here.

30th Birthday Road Trip: Day 2 - Pez Visitor Center

We had fun checking out the Pez Visitor Center. Mom got a Tigger Pez dispenser and I filled up a bucket with a variety of flavors to snack on the rest of the trip.

30th Birthday Road Trip: Day 2 - 2. Weir Farm National Historic Site

The first stop today was Weir Farm National Historic Site, which is the second National Park unit for the trip. Ranger Dan post here.

After walking around the garden areas and seeing the studios, we walked to Weir Pond and did the loop trail.

Mom at the end headed back around the loop saying, "This is the right way, right?" My response, was, "Yeah, if you want to do the loop again."
