Mini Golf Adventures: Mulligan's Lagoon - Ace's Airway

Date of Visit: August 3, 2025

Location: Mulligan's Lagoon, Surfside Beach, SC

Course: Ace's Airways

We paid the discounted price to play both courses the same day at Mulligan's Lagoon. After finishing the Big Kahuna course, we headed back to the golf ball machine to use our credits to play the Ace's Airway course. The Ace's Airway course did not have as many fun holes as Big Kahuna, but there was a good cave hole and it has a good view of the plane on the walkway between Holes 11 and 12.

Mini Golf Adventures: Mulligan's Lagoon - Big Kahuna

Date of Visit: August 3, 2025

Location: Mulligan's Lagoon, Surfside Beach, SC

Course: Big Kahuna

Dad and I joined a bowling practice club for four Sundays. When we went to bowl the second week, they turned us away because they had a tournament. It happened to also be an unseasonably cool and not humid summer day, so we immediately decided to find the closest mini golf to try out. Adventures Falls Golf was the closest open according to Google Maps, which I thought was odd because I was pretty sure it closed and I only had the chance to try one of their courses. Turned out Adventure Falls Golf really is gone and has been replaced with the different design and themed Mulligan's Lagoon.

We enjoyed playing this very well maintained course. The theming was kind of limited, but there were some interesting holes such as the turtle on Hole 3 and the crab on Hole 15. There were also a couple fun water hazard courses including Hole 13 where you want your ball to go in the water for your ball down to be taken to the bottom part of the course.

My favorite part might have been the golf ball vending machine you start at, although I do not like that to play mini golf you have to pay $1 for the arcade card that is then loaded with the mini golf credits. Then you end up with a plastic card that I guess some might find a fun souvenir, but really is just plastic waste.

Our Koffee Trail: Tidal Creek Brewhouse (and Coffeehouse)

Date of Visit: August 3, 2025

Location: Tidal Creek Coffeehouse, Myrtle Beach, SC

Rating: ❤️ (Love)

After Mass, Mik wanted to get coffee so Dad suggested Tidal Creek, their favorite Myrtle Beach brewery. It was their first time going there for coffee. Dad says he liked their coffee even better than their beer.

Dad really enjoyed the Malt-chiato, a macchiato infused with malt extract. A coffee drink only a brewery could pull off.

Mik really enjoyed the French toast taco, a tortilla prepared in French toast batter and filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, salsa, and maple syrup. He accompanied it with a coconut mocha latte.

They brought me home a decaf lavender oat milk latte and a bag of fresh ground decaf Guatemalan coffee. They said coming here on Sundays after Mass could become a habit.
