Today was spent just in Tulsa visiting three museums and some other Route 66 things.
We started our day with coffee at Doubleshot Coffee Co.
While driving to our first museum, we founds a Route 66 themed penguin that, of course, we had to go around the block and come back to stop at for photos.
Our first museum of the day was the Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center.
Next we visited the Bob Dylan Center.
We then went next door to the Woody Guthrie Center.
Our next stop was at the Gathering Place, which is a park area in Tulsa that currently has a Route 66 exhibit and some Route 66 themed art on display.
Next we parked at the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza, so that we could walk across the river under the bridge and visit the Route 66 Neon Sign Park.
Back in the car, we drove across the Southwest Bridge westbound and then turned around to do the Musical Road that plays "This Land is Your Land" in one of the eastbound lanes.
We then turned around again to go to the Crystal City Shopping Center, which is the west gateway to Route 66 in Tulsa and has The Tulsa Tablets of Time giving some of the history of Tulsa.
Our last stop of the day was at Tulsa's Will Rogers Highway Marker.
