In Pontiac, we found the Pontiac Route 66 Community Monument.
Our first museum in Pontiac was the Route 66 Association of Illinois Hall of Fame & Museum.
Next we walked over to the Museum of Gilding Art.
Lastly we visited the Pontiac Oakland Museum.
On our way out of Pontiac, we stopped at the Old Police Headquarters wayside exhibit.
On our way back to Normal, we stopped at Towanda Illinois Route 66 Parkway & Arboretum and walked the north section to the American Heritage Tree Lane.
As we returned to Normal, we stopped at the Normal Route 66 Sign.
Sprague’s Super Service/Ryburn Place Gifts was not open today, but it was still a good stop to see an old gas station and they had two rubbings to do.

On our way to our next stop, we made a quick photo stop of the building that was the first Steak ‘n Shake in Normal.
Thr Cruisin' With Lincoln On 66 Visitors Center is located in the old courthouse, which is also the McClean County Museum of History.
For dinner, we went to Carl’s Ice Cream Factory.
While eating I was scrolling through the Explore Illinois Route 66 and found there was a road remnant in Normal, so we checked that out before heading to the hotel.
